Should I Get an MBA

1. An MBA is a 2 year degree, so you can earn it in less time than enrolling in a completely new bachelor’s degree program. In fact, there is even an accelerated MBA program which would give you the opportunity to earn this degree in less time!
2. The MBA program is a higher-level degree. Instead of pursuing a completely different degree program, becoming more of an expert in your field can certainly improve your chances at moving up the corporate ladder at your current organization or company. Unfortunately, 2 bachelor’s degrees don’t equal a graduate degree, so embarking on a new career can be a professional risk.
3. Earning an MBA can make you a more competitive job candidate, and in many cases, the ability to advance to a higher level position with a better salary is greater when you have an MBA.

As you consider, “should I get an MBA” as you ponder your future career path, think of the advantages listed above. You will gain a better understanding of your field, have the opportunity to earn more money with a better position, and complete your degree in less time than a 4-year bachelor degree. It’s not necessarily a matter of, “should I get an mba”, but more like, “why didn’t I already enroll in an MBA program”?
